Eddy, a purposefully-single hotshot, is told by a psychic that he’ll kill his father and marry his mother, and when he inadvertently causes his father’s premature death, he vows to get married and settle down before his overbearing mother fulfills the rest of the prophecy.

The show follows the Clark family and their adventures at a university. There’s GREG, the patriarch professor who’s tired of the academic grind. SAM, a perpetual student with a working wife and a needy newborn. MADDIE, whose freshman year is made more difficult now that her mom, ELLEN, an empty-nester housewife, decided to go back to get her own degree.
